Time flies

(Nathan at 3 years old)

Well, it happened again- a few weeks have flown by without any updating of this blog. Not sure how many even read it anymore, but oh well!
After one or all of us being sick for nearly 2 weeks, it is good to be back!

~A few weeks ago, our youngest son Nathan turned 9 years old. Oh I how love this boy! He is SO much like his daddy and always making us laugh. Always.

We had family over for one of his favorite meals (besides Mac & Cheese or Pizza!) of Potato Soup and cornbread. I deviated from my normal spending many hours to make a cool cake and went simple with an ice cream cake. It was soooo easy to make and DELICIOUS!

Such a goofball!

He was this excited about CANDY!

I can't believe he is not our baby anymore!

Elliana watched and tried to open some of the presents too. She is wondering when it is her turn! SOON! She loves her cousin Lauren:

As I was looking back at some of the pictures I had scanned from the years before digital, I came across these of Nathan and I. They are my very favorite pictures as I remember the moment so clearly when he came up and sat by me and said he wanted to do Bible Study" like mommy and grabbed "my utmost for his highest" and pretended like he was reading it! He kept saying he was going to beat me and Randy snapped a picture. Priceless.

And I came across a few others that were just too sweet or funny to pass up.
Man, how the time has flown!

Having fun with their "play shaving kits." Oh this is crazy that we are nearing the time for REAL shaving now!

(He's gonna kill me for posting this one... but I cannot stop laughing!)
It was a boy's night of some sort.

This is how I will probably always picture our Nathan. No matter how grown up he gets, he will always be this sweet adorable 3 year old to me!

Hi. I just wanted to let you know that I follow your blog and love it. My husband and I are in the process of adopting a waiting child from Korea so I love hearing about all of the milestones you have overcome!

Birthdays are so special. Thanks for sharing! I know it is amazing how our kids grow up so fast. Very weird for me, because I seem to think I stay the same age..and everyone els gets older! :-)
