Ok, so I didn't share every card that I got for Mother's Day... Here was the sweetest one from our 9 year old Jensen...
Are you thinking: "WHAT LITTLE GIRL? THEY DON'T HAVE A LITTLE GIRL."
WELLLLLLLL.......
Yep, if you didn't already guess-
WE ARE GOING TO HAVE A DAUGHTER!!!
We have officially begun the process to adopt a little girl from South Korea. For those of you who know me, I know you might be a little shocked that she will not be Chinese- but another time I will tell you the whole story behind all of it and how God led us to start this amazing journey to bring our daughter(oh, I can't believe I get to say that! :-) ) home into our family. We are working on our homestudy right now and hope to have her home sometime in the Fall or Christmas of 2009!
So- that is our BIG news for right now. And that is why Jensen gave me that sweet card with all of the $ he had saved- so we could bring home our little sister! Nathan gave all he had as well and we started a "Little Sister Jar" that we are going to use for part of the adoption. We are already trying to think up ways to earn some $ to add to that jar and will update more about that later if you want to join in on the fun! For now, we are going to work on getting the paperwork done and then hopefully by mid-summer we will just be starting the waiting stage- yay! Stay tuned- there's always exciting things happening over here!
