The other day I went with a friend to Woodward Park to take the kids on a nature hike. It was such a pleasant day and I was reminded of how much the boys LOVE doing stuff like this. I used to take them on nature walks a lot when they were smaller, and we would make a game out of how many different kinds of feathers, rocks, leaves, etc. we could find. It was fun to let them run around and climb trees, collect pinecones, and pretend to fish for an afternoon. I think it is something we want to do more often- before it hits 100 degrees though!
He is like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither. Whatever he does prospers.
Psalm 1:3
