God bless you and all your family! The Korean War Baby salutes you as wise adoptive parents who are also brothers and sisters in Christ. Thank you for giving us an example of 'good' adoption stories, which are the norm. My own Adoptive Parents taught me about the true essence of the Spirit of Adoption.
Rom 8:15 For you have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear, but you have received the Spirit of adoption by which we cry, Abba, Father!
Rom 9:26 And it shall be, in the place where it was said to them. "You are not My people; there they shall be called sons of the living God."
We are all Adopted Children of God, those who have believed in the only Begotten Son Jesus Christ, yet we 'await our adoption' in its completeness. May God Bless your family every year!
Hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and Happy New Year! I miss seeing your post. I had to pick 10 of my favorite blogs and I picked yours as one of my top! There is a blog award waiting for you over at my blog.
Candice, we recently switched from the China program to the Korea program within our adoption agency. We felt God calling us to grow our family now. We have one biological son and really really want a little girl. i have felt convicted about praying for a girl just because boys and girls alike are special gifts from God. I just wondered if your agency allowed you to choose a gender. Our agency doesn't permit it, but I desire a girl so deeply. We have prayed for our sister (since we were originally going with China) for over two years now, we have a name picked out etc... just curious about your experience.
